Since 2001, Stephan Lienin has been supporting companies in strategically integrating sustainability into their strategies, daily operations, and reporting. His particular focus lies in collaborating with leadership teams through interactive workshops to develop pragmatic and future-proof solutions for sustainable value creation. In doing so, he draws on extensive experience from projects with clients across a wide range of industries.

After completing his studies in physical chemistry at the University of Mainz and ETH Zurich, he pursued his doctorate under Prof. Richard Ernst (Nobel Prize in Chemistry, 1991) at ETH Zurich. At the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), he developed analytical methods for energy, mobility, and climate protection. Additional training in action-oriented communication enables him to act not only as a coach for clients and a moderator of panels and expert groups but also as a coordinator of complex multi-stakeholder projects. In this capacity, he served for several years as Managing Director of the “Future Urban Mobility” initiative.

In addition to his role as Managing Partner at Sustainserv, Stephan Lienin has been committed since 2018 to social projects with the NGO Kamboo Project and initiatives such as ESG4Boards. He also serves on the Advisory Board of NZZ Sustainable Switzerland.
