The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) continually stresses the significance of the materiality principle in reporting, which means including issues that are particularly important for companies and their stakeholders. In addition, balanced and trustworthy reporting on sustainability depends greatly on successfully implementing the materiality principle.
The “GRI Roundtable on Materiality and Boundary” deals primarily with issues that routinely challenge reporters, even those with experience:
- How does the materiality analysis change management and reporting?
- What is the best practice for creating thematic boundaries between fundamental issues?
- How are priorities set and how are stakeholders included in the analysis?
Sustainserv is assisting the “GRI Roundtable on Materiality and Boundary” held on September 6, 2018 as lead sponsor and co-moderator. The event will be held at Hoffmann-La Roche AG in Basel. The GRI Roundtable will take place from 12 noon to 6:30 pm and is geared primarily towards individuals with sustainability reporting responsibilities at companies with experience implementing the GRI framework. The afternoon is reserved for an open discussion with peers.
The event will be held in English. Further details and registration information can be found here.
