Sustainable Development Goals: How do Swiss Companies Approach Them?

The Sustainable Developments Goals (SDGs) were adopted three years ago by the member states of the United Nations as the centerpiece of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and represent the global blueprint to a more sustainable future.

What do the SDGs mean for Swiss companies? How do Swiss companies contribute to achieving global sustainability goals? We at Sustainserv investigate these and other questions as part of our “SDG Pulsometer” series. After surveying over 100 companies in 2017 (outcomes of the “SDG Pulsometer 2017” in German), we analyzed reporting on the SDGs by 115 of the largest Swiss companies in 2018.

We’ll present the outcomes of our analysis on November 7 in Zurich. Learn firsthand about the relevance of the SDGs for Swiss companies and how they approach them. You’ll receive insights into the current “best practice” for addressing the SDGs by John Revess, VP Group Head of Sustainability at ABB. In addition, Till Berger will discuss how the Swiss Federal Office for Spatial Development shows its commitment to the SDGs. A drinks reception will round off the event and provide an opportunity to exchange ideas with like-minded peers.

The event will be held in English.
