Are You Ready for California SB261? Take Our Disclosure Readiness Quiz

With the first reporting deadline quickly approaching for California’s Climate-Related Financial Risk Act (Senate Bill 261), now is the time to make sure that you and your company are prepared for this disclosure.

If subject to this law, covered entities must complete a climate risk assessment and disclose climate-related financial risks, as well as the measures they’re adopting in response by January 1, 2026.

To help organizations gauge their preparedness, we’ve developed a California SB261 Readiness Quiz, a quick self-assessment to highlight strengths and potential gaps in disclosure readiness.

Take the quiz here!

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has released a preliminary list of entities that may be subject to this law, California SB261. While the list isn’t comprehensive, it provides helpful direction for organizations evaluating whether they may be subject to the new disclosure requirements.

If you’d like to explore how these requirements may affect your organization, your compliance, and disclosure approach, we’d be happy to start a conversation.
